Investigator Mr Paul Strachan made disclosures about the alleged obstructions by QR to Mr Strachan’s investigation into the train scheduling chaos caused to Brisbane travellers in October 2016.

The obstructions reported in the media included refusing to hand over documents, stopping him from conducting interviews and expending public funds on legal actions to try to keep information confidential.

The disclosures bring the attention of the public to the bullying and obstruction with which investigations can be frustrated by executive management within government departments and corporations. The disclosures give voice to disclosures made by others concerning alleged actions by QR to frustrate investigations by others, including the police, into what may be criminal and / or negligent actions occurring within QR.
