Crown Law solicitors Siobhan Parer and Jeremy Weston made allegations reported in the media about the tactics adopted by the government in liability cases against the government.

The disclosure was made that the government had never in their experience complied with the model litigant principles.

In the best traditions of the our Westminster system of government, public officials, especially those attached to the Office of Crown Law, should always be mindful of and conduct themselves in a manner which is respectful of "model litigant" precepts in their daily application and interchange with the public in all its various forms from the individual to multi-national entities' grievances.
