CITATION: Ms Kerry Campbell

The Award goes to a person who has undoubtedly displayed great fortitude in making a public interest disclosure about the mistreatment of persons in care of the State, leading to the closure of the Basil Stafford Centre for the disabled.

Kerry's courageous acts are now enshrined in the Queensland Whistleblower Protection legislation.

Clause 19 will be known as the "Kerry Campbell Clause"

This section applies if anybody has information about –

(a) a substantial and specific danger to the health or safety of a person with a disability
