Social Justice Groups
The title of these groups might invite approaches by whistleblowers to such groups in order to attract support and assistance.
In practice, whistleblowers will find that these groups, or many of them, are occupied by the troubles of victims of social ills who are worse off than many whistleblowers.
The Social Justice Groups are interested in the whistleblower situation, and will see the connections on some issues.
Whistleblowers will get an audience, and support may come from members of the Social Justice Group in their capacity as individuals, rather than in their office with the Social Justice Group.
It is always a wise move, before making contact with Social Justice Groups, to identify the people in key positions within their respective organisations, what their work history has been, and thus what networks they may have to individuals and/or organisations, either supportive of or adversarial to matters disclosed by the whistleblower.
One piece of depressing advice from a Social Justice Group, which worked on rehabilitation and employment of persons released from prison, was a surprise to whistleblowers seeking to assist other whistleblowers to obtain employment or to find a new career.
The Manager stated that it would be more difficult to get a whistleblower another job than it would be to get a new job for a person with a criminal record.
